Hi there,

I see some guy do this in xp but can't remember how. He had a folder full of shortcuts and kind of dragged it to the top of the screen, and it created like a task bar at the top with all the shortcuts as buttons, this would be really handy. Thanks for any help.

open my computer, find the folder that you want to have in the shortcut bar, click and drag it, drop it in the bar, viola.

right-click the existing toolbar, uncheck Lock toolbar.

There are tons of fancier suggestions to be found with a Google search on "xp customize desktop".

Just to be precise, if you right click on the item and move it it will ask you to either copy, move it and or create a shortcut. If you left click on it and drag it, it will just move the icon. It will be better to just create a shortcut just in case you ever decide to delete it.
