I have a client with an old PC running windows 95 SP1 and IE3, I have asked them to upgrade the browser to version 5 or above so they can access certain secure sites, however I can't find any sites to download 5 or 5.5 anywhere on the net, and Microsoft seem to have killed all their links? Has anyone got any ideas? Obviously a new PC or Operating system upgrade would be good, but they didn't like that idea.

I'm going mad here!
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers

Find an earthlink package and use the IE from there. Or possibly the Cd that comes with USR modems.

edemiere , it's no longer available from Microsoft.

Yeah, I just realized that, I keep forgetting how worthless Microsoft is when it comes to that sort of thing.

And the links you do find are either broken or direct you to IE6, which is pretty sorry...

So, disregard my post :)

Cheers!

If you can find anyone who still has an old K-Mart BlueLight free internet disk...it has IE 5 on it. Since I am NEW here, I don't know the system, but I also have a MSN CD with IE 5.5 on it, I could somehow get to you. How do we get in touch? Doug
