The previous administrator of my Avaya CM6.3 on an S8300 LSP created a logo and put it on the Utility Service. My boss likes it and wants to add it to all of our phones, but when the administrator left, he took the file with him. We have over 40 LSPs and want them all to get their files locally, and not point them all to this one Utility Service. Is there an easy way to transfer a file from a Utility Service to my PC? I assume it will be with a series CLI commands, which I am not the greatest at doing, but will give it the ol' college try, just to make my boss happy!

Thanks for your help.

I am talking about the screen saver for the phones. I know it is a .jpg file. And I want to download the file to my PC so I can put it on the other (40) S8300 LSP Utility Servers. Don't want all 16,000 phones pointed to one Utility Service across the network. Want the phones to be able to download it locally.

so grap it from the utility server it resides on , fromm im pretty sure there is a custom file /down-up load or win scp into utility server and get it that way.

There is a custom file downlaod, but not upload (to the server, not up from the server). Can you point me to information about win scp? That sounds like the information I am looking for, exactly how to get it from the Utility to my laptop. But if it is an external program (which GOOGLE makes it sound like it is), IT policy won't let me download and install it on my work PC. I do have PUTTY, does that help?

or you could just use your browser and drag it down that way...

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

As mattKnight says:
- Point the browser on your PC to the 46xxsettings.txt file on the Utility Service which has the file.
- Look in the file for the line which points to the jpg file (you are going to want to copy that line to the 46xxsettings.txt files on the other Utility Services
- Point the browser on your PC to the http address of the jpg and download it to your PC.

go to IP Phone Custom file upload, display custom directory to locate then got o web browser type in
e.g., = IP address of utility server/ plus logo name/ from web browser. Right click and save picture as.

Thank you saiyan656. Perfectly simple, just the way I need it!!!
