Downgrade to 5.0? 1

I'm desperate for a copy of Crystal Reports 5.0. We need to edit a report in a third party app (they have not updated support for the new versions of Crystal...) We own a copy of XI, but it is incompatible with their report engine. The vendor will create the report for us, but they are running a HUGE lag time and I need the edits sooner.

I contacted Business Objects (current owner of Crystal Reports) and was told that anything before 7 would not be available from them. I'm in a major bind.

Do any of the crystal products downgrade to 5.0? Thoughts?

You can't downgrade from any current versions, but you may find someone with that version, others have tried here.

You also might try ebay adn those sorts of sites.

Lastly, you might try crackz sites, which is very dangerous...

You might check with your software vendor, someone there might have it...

Someone was fishing for CR 5 ages ago here, and I think that mostp eople had loooooooong ago thrown out their old versons.
