I have a customer with a PRI, MICS 6.1 & Flash 2.0 He wants to downgrade to analog. My question, how to achieve this without defaulting the system. I know if you just pull the T1 card and plug in the analog cards it will not start and if you force it, all will be lost...

I think your screwed, maybe someone knows a secret.

There is....add a 12X0 and some copper line cards.
You may need an exp card too if you only have the Services Card for the PRI.
If they ever change their mind again your good to go back to PRI.

Go into maintenace and diable the PRI card.
Then go into Hardware and change the card type to Loop.
Power down
Take out DTI and Install CLID or LS/DS Card
Power up and program.

curly,
Not IT just lazy I put the wrong info when I signed up and just never changed it. But hey it looks like all of us will be IT or at least somewhat before long. Unless I hit the Lotto....

It should not if it does then you probably have a bad NVRAM Card. You may want to do a back up just in case.

depending on how many analog lines you are talking about how about just plug the analog card into the next slot and use trunks 31-34?

Changing the card type will not default the system. I'd use Jerry or curlycord's suggestion and leave the PRI programming intact to make it easy to go back if they change their minds.

They are going to 7 clid lines. The whole thing is to save money so I don't think the trunk mod is an option altho it is a good idea. I think I will look at that option it would save a lot of programing....

Do they use the Internet if so then I would look at keeping the PRI just tear down some channels and share it with Internet access. Figure 7 lines at somewhere around 50 to 60 each plus internet and maybe it's better to keep the PRI.

Good idea, hawks. That should keep their enabler intact, too, if they do decide to go back.
