Downgrade 9.0 to 7.0 - Licensing questions 1

Hi Tek-tips

I have an SCN with (3) systems, the third was added within the last 2 months. The two original systems, and voicemail pro, are running 7.0, the third IPO is running 9.0. Avaya has stated in the past that the SCN will work with different releases, but options will be limited to the lowest IPO release on SCN. This WAS their policy, my apologies if it has changed.

Well, I have an issue with the system running 9.0 and I want to downgrade to match the other systems at 7.0. I have looked through the marketingtools docs, and searched through tek-tips, havent found my answer.

Any license required for downgrading IP 500V2 from 9.0 to 7.0?

Take it down to R8.1.85, that one works just fine in tandem with R7.0 SCN.
This way the downgradee doesn't lose the free mobile twinning.

Also be aware downgrading from 9.1 or 9 to anything lower is highly likely to corrupt the security settings and you will not get back in. So you will need a 9 pin straight through serial lead to reset it
