Anyone running NSI's Double-Take replication software for Exchange?
We are in the process of implementing Double-Take, in our environment. According to the vendor, our email server is generating about a gigabyte worth of Exchange data changes per hour. That number seems to be too high, since our mail-stores are not growing at that rate.
With that being said, are there any freeware tools that someone can recommend, for us to use in verifying the amount of Exchange data changes on our server. At the moment both the Target & Source servers are on a Gig. LAN. But if the implementation works, the replication will be run across a WAN over a T1 line. But based on the changes noted above that would not be practical. So we are trying to see if the noted changes are legit and accurate? Does anyone know what kind of data Double-Take considers Exchange related? And how does it determine the changes? Our source server has about 145GB worth of data. We have about 600 users.
Thank U.

tdoma,
I have studied this extensively and yes the data being changed is valid. Double-Take doesn't create data...it only replicates it. Exchange writes about 5-25x the email size.
