Double install of XP??

Funny things were happening with my desktop and accounts. After re-booting today, I noticed a double install of XP. I cannot figure how this happened, but I would like to un-install one version. Suggestions?

I am guessing you mean that you have two 'Microsoft Windows XP' options at your dual-boot selection screen. I have the same thing and I think it is because stuffed up during installation. If you open 'msconfig' from the Run menu and look at the BOOT.INI tab, you see the dual entry. So if you edit BOOT.INI and delete the second entry, it might fix the problem. I haven't bothered because I don't really care about it. If there were 50 duplicate entries I still couldn't give a #$%@... Miles
