DOS PrintScreen Button in Win2k

We use an older DOS based program in our work on Win98. In order to print screens to a local LPT1 dot matrix printer, we use Shift-PrintScreen to print whatever is on the screen. Fine. Now we upgraded the win98 machine to win2k and run the program fine. BUT Shift-PrintScreen does not work anymore. I cannot for the life of me figure out why? There is something going on b/c the cursor flashes each time you hit Shift PrintScreen. Can anyone help me to redirect screen shots to a local printer? This computer is not on a network. Thank you.

I know a way you can print the screen. It might not be what you are looking for but if you hit the print screen key. Then go into paint or word and right click and go to paste. It will display what ever was on the desktop at the time you hit the print screen key. From there you can print.

Ok, I didn't explain it exactly right. The software "starts" up in Windows mode. Then when you go to view a record of information, it opens up a DOS window with the information in it. Only THEN we hit Shift-PrintScreen to print what is on the screem. I read somewhere that I need to modify the PIF file but I do not see one anywhere. I think I will need to find out how this software calls a DOS window and check there. Any other clues?

pc42e - Thanks we tried that and it did work like you suggested. But we are in a retail store and everyone is working fast paced and that will take up too much time to get information. Thank you though for the suggestion. I am looking to fine or create a PIF file for that particular DOS screen and if I can do that, from there I can "shut off" the Shft-Prt button that is in the MISC tab. I found this on the MS site.

The flash you see is your system copying the display to the clipboard. Now open Word (or Wordpad), right click and hit paste. You should see the display's contents in the document. Then print it.
You can buy (even use it for a month before buying) called printnow! The win98 version was a shareware but doesn't work with 2000.
