Is it possible to have a dos machine join into a win2k domain. If so what steps are required for it to work?

Chris

To my knowledge No, Win2K is built on NT technology and was not really a DOS proficent OS, there may be some kind of patch available for that to work or even a plug in but im not aware of it.

Sorry

blkdawn is right. You can sometimes use some of the things on the w2k server though. I have several dos applications that I need to keep in my migration from novell to w2k, and these are the kind of issues I've had to work out. Things like net use will allow you to print on a networked printer that's installed on the W2K server. Simple batch files are good also. Good luck. Glen A. Johnson
