Door Phone Installation

I need to add two auto dial door phones using 2 analog Viking single button wall mounted external speaker phones for the front and back back doors.

I was going to install them using two separate ATA's and then try to have them auto dial a DN that would ring all the 13 sets.

Is this possible? I am out of buttons on these sets as they are only using M7208 and M7100 sets. Can I have them ring on the I/C buttons?

It is been years since I installed on of these that I forgot how to do this.

What software?
If permits use Hunt Groups since your out of keys.

Presuming the Vikings can use a trunk port also you could assign the trunk to Ring Only at those sets.

Or Aux Ringer and Pickup Group etc.

Answer DN would take up a key so that's out.

This is where Norstar door phones would come in handy where you could use the Chime function instead.

If I use the HUNT GROUP method, would I assign these DNs to lets say HG DN 600 ( front door ) and 601 ( back door )? Then would I assign them to RING ONLY? I am a little lost here.

They are using up all 8 loops unless I add a 0x12. These are a dime a dozen so that is really not a big expense. I have paid about 25.00 for my 0x12's.

So If I add the 0x12 then how would I get the Viking to RING ONLY on a trunk that I could then assign to the sets that I want to rin ( which is every set ). I could name the lines FRONT DOOR and BACK DOOR so they can look at their sets and know what door to go to.

Yes for 600 and 601
Add sets to both groups.

In HG programming you can assign the trunks.
I think the HG name will show before the Trunk name but either or.

BTW if wanting to use ATA's instead of trunks then Hotline/Internal the ATA's to the HG DN.

When using trunks I dont know what is required for Viking to ring the trunk so check that out if pwoer/doc is needed or somebody can help out here.

I don't know Viking much so pretty useless.

Looks like the ATA using HG 601 and HG 602 for front and back doors works pretty good.

I will be installing the Vikings this weekend.

I have the words FRNT DOOR and BAK DOR displaying on the sets when the door phone button is activated. The door phone is dialing either 601 or 602 for front and back doors.

The customer has asked if I am able make the sets use a DISTINCTIVE ring when the door phone rings. Is this available for a HUNT group?
