When I open an excel or Word document I do not see an icon for the document. Is there a setting I have to set in windows? It is also taking a awhile to pull up the documents while in windows explorer. Thanks.
have you tried to re-save the document using a different name. If not, when you do this make sure that you are using the "Word Document" as the file type.
The length of time to see the document in explorer may be due to some kind of corruption. Saving the file to another location on the disk may eliminate the need to read over a bad sector.
