I burn CDs by WinOn-CD. All files are write-protected.
This is reasonable, but copyied to a folder they are still
write-protected. How can I remove the protection auto-
matically ? ---Gernot

From CD to Hard drive? Can you clear the attributes once they files are on the HDD? James Collins

write a batch file and then run it

with

c:
cd name_of_folder_with_copied_files
attrib -r *.*

save as change.bat
make a short cut to this batch file from windows

Thanks to everybody. I can change the attributes on HDD
and I could make a batch file. The problem is only, that
an update CD has many many folders.
I thought we have in WinOn-CD / Windows the option
of not setting / deleting the write protection. ----Gernot

use bdux batch file idea but add /s for subfolders
eg attrib -r *.* /s

Thanks again. Is it possible to remove
all write protections on C:\ by one command ?

Thanks DumTech ! --Gernot
Be careful with your name - in Germany "DummTech"
means "StupidTech" - which is obviously wrong.
