I have a web server running 2003 std edition. If I install SP1 and reboots the machine. I am not able to find any DC. I get "Domain not avaiable" error.
I have Intel 1000XF network card. The momment I install SP1 and reboots the machine, its not even PINGable. Something goes bad with NIC driver after installing to SP1?
Aside from trying a different NIC driver obtained from the manufacturer's website, is there a firewall in play that might be causing the issue?

Does SP1 upgrade the NIC driver? Check the version of the driver before and after the upgrade...

SP1 in certain cases had caused an issue with network connectivity. Ensure you have patch MS05-019(if I recall) patch installed which covers this issue. Hope this helps.
Should I install ms05-019 before or after the SP1? I installed the KB before SP1 then installed the SP1, but same issue. So let me know to install the KB after SP1?
Eventlog (ID 4292) says:
IPSEC driver has entered block mode. Ipsec will discard all inbound and outbound TCP/IP network traffic that is not permitted by boot-time IPSec Policy exemptions. To restore full unsecured TCP/IP connectivity, disable the IPSec services, and then restart the computer. This is event id 4292. This is a Windows 2003 server machine.
Manually trying to start IPSEC service:
Could not start the IPSEC service
ERROR 2: The system cannot find the file specified.
Also a few Kerberos errors in security log at the same time:
Source security
Event ID 537
Logon process authz
Authentication package Kerberos
Status 0xC000005E
IF I uninstall w2k3 SP1 eveything works again perfectly.
I look at my event logs, getting error 4202. My IPSEC files/agent is corrupt as I have no entry in registry for IPSEC policies so I cant open/access policy console as I get file not found error. How about if I just disable the IPSEC service, install SP1 and leave the service disable???
