You can download the SQL Server 2000 Trial software and install the client tools.

http://www.microsoft.com/sql/evaluation/trial/

That will give you EM and QA.

So it is OK to install 2 different editions of sql server 2000 on same box?

Or are you saying uninstall MSDE 2000 and just use trial sql server SQL server 2000?

My recommendation would be to install MSDE because it will not expire. Download the SQL 2000 trial but ONLY install the client tools. The client tools include Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer.

How do I install the client tools. If I run setup exe doesn't it install all?
