Does Clipper have an ODBC driver?

We have a customer who wants to add Visual FoxPro functionality to a Clipper program. They want the old program and VFP to read/write the clipper files.

Is there an ODBC driver for Clipper which would allow this?

Has anyone done this?

I dont think clipper has any ODBC facility (third party may be possible).

However if you use CAs Visual Object (enhanced version of clipper on windows), u should be able to have the ODBC functionality with your programs

Wes, use Fivewin (The clipper for Windows Library) from Fivetech (

and use ODBC from Clipper

I Use Clipper with MS-DQL Server 7.0 with Fivewin, is excelent !!!

Fivewin is a True Clipper for Windows !

check version 5.3 of clipper, it had some ODBC functionality, though i am not quite sure now.
