I have a question on MS Access 2000. When opening a database accross a LAN/WAN, does access have to open the entire database on the client computer or does it just open the parts it needs. We have a database we might like to open accross a T1 line at another location and I have concerns it is so large it may not open or crash.

thanks.

how about splitting the database into front end (forms, reportsand queries) and back end (tables). A copy of the front end can be located on all the users computers, leaving only the data to be moved around over the WAN/LAN.
