Inside my Documents and Settings Folder there are 4 folders. The first is Administrator. No problem.

However, there are 2 Users folders. One is "All Users". The other is "All Users.Win2000". What is the difference between the two? Why are both of them there?

The last folder is my name. I always logon as the Administrator but I probably logged on using my own name when I first installed Win2K. Can I just delete this folder? I don't see my name listed in the "Users and Passwords" icon in the Control Panel. Shouldn't I be able to find myself listed as a User somewhere in Win2000?

Could someone please clarify? Thanks.

Most things work but I'm going to do a full reinstall when my HDD arrives (just to add to my misery, my online vendor says my credit card was denied - I hope I just typed in the wrong card number....)

Actually, I think my problems may be related to when I accidently removed "Everyone" and "Administrator" from the security tab of my C: drive. I meant to remove them from the SHARING tab. After I did this, on my next boot, I got an error related to the virtual memory (since the Administrator didn't have any permissions to use the main drive!). Although I fixed this, my system just hasn't felt right since then....

Yep, I'm a moron.

Yeah, I once saw a girl do that in a training course - she removed all permissions from the top level of a server, and then said "replace on all sub-directories".

Server stuffed. Lucky it was a lab. Cheers,
Sam
