Document page orientation 3

I'm using v4.1.
Is it possible for me to create a document that contains pages with both landscape and portrait orientation?

FYI: the Quark document will form the basis of an eMusic Book. I will print the doc to a ".PS" file, then distill it into a .PDF, which will inturn form the basis of my eMusic Book. The problem is that I have sheet music which has been notated in both orientations.

Any help greatly received.

no it is not possible under v4

under v6+ you can have multiple layouts under 1 project

You can build your landscape page laid out as portrait, and then rotate the desired page(s) with acrobat to display as landscape.

or you could set you page as landscape then sinply extend you bleed to allow for it

Hello there,

Thanks for the replies. I've tried rotating pages in Acrobat, but the music image has already been croped by this stage. I also created a landscape picture box on a portrait page in quark, and it displayed fine. However, after distillation it was cropped also.
I'm really a novice at this so you might have to spell it out to me!!

No, they mean, create the page as landscape on the portrait page in quark like you have done.
Then click on the move tool (the top one with the four arrows) and edit>select all then Item>Modify and where it says Angle put in 90 then ok

If any element is hanging over the page, it will be cropped off. This is why you have to add bleed in you print menu.
turn registration on and add 50mm or as much as you can in bleed.
Make your PDF

In Acrobat
rotate the page.
