I have a page where a user can upload a document, which will then become avaliable on another page as a download.

What I want to do is to convert that document (ie. MS-Word) into HTML, so the user can click on a link to view it online.

I know that not all document types can be converted (like PDF), but is it possible to convert other docs, mainly office docs, to HTML format after they have been sent to the server?

Well, if they have Word installed on their machines, the word document should just open in their browser.

If they don't, hmm...intriguing question...However, one that I believe is possible. The easiest way would be to use the Word object model and strip out hte contents into an html file, which would be available for the users...but you could lose formatting. And you'd require word on the web server.

Will the users have word on their machines? If so its a non issue (the document will just load in the browser)
