means cus its really buggin me? I use MS Visual C++ 6 if you need to know. -Ed ;-)

I deleted snakes.ilk and it went away so I don't need to know what it is after all thanks. -Ed ;-)

It is basically to do with incremental linking as opposed to full linking. On a full link, the linker has to resolve all the symbols again whereas on an incremental link, it just has to swap out the module that changed and only resolve the symbols in the modified module.

Sometimes, this goes wrong and it moans a lot. The easiest way, as you have found out, is to delete the .ilk file.
