Do I need a new SQL agent if I upgrade SQL to 2005?

hi guys, I'm upgrading some SQL 2000 servers to 2005 in a week or so.
they're currently being backed up by BackupExec 10.1, and I'll install hotfix 6 to get it SQL 2005 compatible.
What my question is, is do I need to upgrade the "Agent for SQL 2000" license to a 2005 compatible one, or will this continue to work?

Thanks

Paul

SQL agent is horrid. Use SQL to drop the data to disk as part of the maintenance plan then back up those flat files. Loads of upsides to doing this, no downsides.

We've covered this thoroughly in this forum over many years.

Thanks Zelandakh,
we use the agent across, probably hundreds of servers and multiple customers, and have never really had a problem with it.
Do you know if I need the new license?

Thanks

Almost certainly you'll need a new licence as the agent will need to work a different way.
