Do domain trust need to see all DCs

Anybody know when establish domain trust between 2 domains, with each domain with multiple DC and all DC on different subnets. Do all DCs in each domain need to see all other DCs??

Reason for asking is sometime the trust verify work and sometime it does not, when I try to ping the domain name itself, it resolved randomly into different DC names.

Our trust only need to be between 2 specific domain DCs, and nothing else. Are there anyway to get around this?

It sounds like you need to setup AD Sites and Services. It has been a while since I did that so I cannot give more specifics but I know that is where your answer lies.
