Hello,

I keep getting netlogon 5775 eventID errors in event viewer under system. I know I should have set my domain up as a .local domain and I would have probably never had these problem but I didn't. It seems my domain controller is trying to log on to another IP that is a websites IP for another company that uses the same domain name. Example my domain controller is example.com and its trying to log on to the IP of Is there anyway I can stop this from happening?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

madrino,

Probably your best bet is to demote and repromote your domain controller, so that you can use a .local domain name.

If that's not viable for you, you could 'net stop netlogon' and restart your domain controller, or remove the default gateway in TCP/IP properties.
