I have an issue with DNS not forwarding. It works for around 10-15 minutes then goes down, it happens on both my primary and secondary servers - at around the same time. Then if i stop and start the services it starts to work again - can anyone help with this one????

what is your DHCP address leasing period set to? 15 minutes by any chance?

Hope this Helps.

Nope the DHCP leases have multiple lengths depending on which scope the client machine uses. But none of them have a length of 15 minutes.

I have finally traced the source to a network problem between my network and the forwarders - doing a trace we found a 7 minutes delay between my requests getting to the forwarder servers.

Thanks anyway
