Hi all,
In my network lab I've 2 Dc's (either running windows 2003 server, same domain and site) both hosting the same Dns zone (primary zone Ad integrated). I would like to keep the above-mentiond zone only on 1 DC, but I am not sure about the right procedure to do that .... in short I don't want to delete this zone on both DC's. Can you help me out?
Thanks in advance
Leonardo

the zone is in AD, and so is replicated to all DCs that have DNS installed.

you can
1) remove DNS from the other DC

2) choose to replicate DNS info in an application Partition, and it will only replicate dns data to members of that partition....

i can't remember exactly the method for doing this, but google around and ye shall find ;-)

You should make it a Standard Primary zone. and Just remove the zone from the second server. If I am correct, whenever you make once DC integrated AD DNS the rest are also.
