DNS Server Change on Intuity

Does anyone know if you change the ip addresses for your network DNS server addresses does it update automatically?

or do you need to reboot the intuity box before it will make the change? Is there a way to do a DNS flush on the box without restarting it?

I'm not very good on Unix based systems but as far as I know you will have to reboot the machine for it to work...

What kind of operating system does the Intuity have ? (I never had one myself...)

On most Unix operating systems you can simply edit the file /etc/resolv.conf to point to your new DNS servers.

the intuity uses oldSCO Unixware. Updates to /etc/resolv.conf are automatic
