Hi all,

We're having an issue with a DNS server.

We have two DC's the first DC is located at our Coporate office in Canada and we have another one in Germany. I just did the turnover this weekend to add the servers to our domain. We have 1 forest and 1 domain. The connection to both offices is a VPN tunnel using two Cisco ASA 5505's.

Here is the issue -

AD seems to be working fine. Whenever I do a change on either DC it is replicating correctly. The only exception is the DNS.

I created the 2nd DC with DNS, the intial DNS replication worked fine. I tested it further by adding a new entry at either site but it does not replicate this new entry to the other site.

I checked the secure connection, by using nltest. Everything tests successful, I've deleted and recreated the DNS server and the zone. Still the same problem. So now I'm stuck! I've never ran into this problem before, I've done numerous setups with 2 DNS servers.

The only thing different between the two servers, is that one is using R2 (the branch office) and our corporate server is the standard.

Thanks ahead of time for any advice. Thanks!

Nevermind I figured out the issue, it looks to be our Germany ISP connection is slow.
