External to our network we type and this gets us to our exchange mailbox. However internally we have to type either or
How can I get internal PC's typing to point to the internal address and not time out??

I am running a win 2000 domain with a DNS server.

I can now get my DNS server to resolve to the internally to the correct server however when trying to resolve it is still trying to access externally.

do I need to add an entry for the email.mydom.....

Sounds like you need to add an entry in your internal DNS for email.mydomain.com.uk and point it to your internal address of the server.
