DNS problem

Network setup :

1 primary DNS server for impdns.com (local domain name)
(aaimp3.impdns.com)
1 secundary DNS server for impdns.com
(aaimp.impdns.com)
1 primary DNS server for it.impdns.com (subdomain)
(ns2.it.impdns.com)

I added the subdomain ('it') to my primary impdns.com server, specified HOST and NS record, and let it replicate to my secundary server

I've set up primary DNS server on another machine for it.impdns.com, and added records to it.

When I do nslookup, I get this :

(SECUNDARY SERVER)
Default Server: aaimp.impdns.com
Address: 172.29.96.12

> set querytype=ns
> it.impdns.com
Server: aaimp.impdns.com
Address: 172.29.96.12

Non-authoritative answer:
it.impdns.com nameserver = ns2.it.impdns.com

ns2.it.impdns.com internet address = 172.29.97.6
> set type=any
> rec1.it.impdns.com
Server: aaimp.impdns.com
Address: 172.29.96.12

rec1.it.impdns.com internet address = 172.29.97.24


=> WORKS FINE
but when I do the same on my primary DNS server :

Default Server: aaimp3.impdns.com
Address: 172.29.96.15
> set querytype=ns
> it.impdns.com
Server: aaimp3.impdns.com
Address: 172.29.96.15

*** aaimp3.impdns.com can't find rec1.it.impdns.com: Non-existent domain


=> ????????? what is wrong here ?
I can't resolve any of the subdomain hosts...
