Hello,

In windows 2003, is it possible to setup dns so that a webaddress such as

http://mycompanyname.com

will access a given port on the ip address? Can ports also be specified?

Any ideas? Instead of using

http://<aaa.com>:portnumber

Can i use something like

http://<aaanew.com>

.. I am looking for a way to eliminate typing the port number in the address. Will DNS help?

I don't think that's possible. That would be a webpage redirection and would be a function of the webserver.
