DNS Lookup Problem 1

I am trying to login to a Windows 2000 Server domain with active directory installed & SP 3. I have reinstalled the server few times but everytime I try to login to windows 2000 server with Windows 2000 professional I get the following error. I can manage to login with Windows 98 no problem. Thanks

Hmmm, check to see that the DNS is setup correctly on the client. Make sure it is pointing to your Primary DNS server.

Also that the DNS server has the proper Zones, is configured properly and is setup for Dynamic Updates and SRV records.

98 machines don't actively query DNS, they use WINS and could be the reason why they can login but the 2K Pro can't. Hewissa
