I have read many posts about this type of a problem. Therefore, I know that my basic issue revolves around the fact that my internal domain name, bartonville66.com, is the same as my website name Everything seems to work well enough, except that there are issues when the DC is set as the DNS host. Prior to installing several XP machines, I had DHCP set the clients to use the ISPs DNS and they were happy enough. However, XP won't play that way. When I set my internal DC as DNS, everything is great except that I cannot access the website. Could someone please explain how, step by step, to add a record in DNS so that it will point to the website's IP address? When I try, it won't let me use any dots. I have a very large network and changing the internal domain name is quite impractical. Will someone help, please?
Thank you.
