I have the error 4515 that states that I have duplicate DNS Zones.

The Even description is as follows:
The zone *** was previously loaded from the directory partition ForestDnsZones.*** but another copy of the zone has been found in directory partition DomainDnsZones.***. The DNS Server will ignore this new copy of the zone. Please resolve this conflict as soon as possible.

I used the adsiedit.msc tool to confirm this and yes there is one in each. How do I determine which one is good to delete and which one will ruin my day?

I have looked this article over but to no avail. It does not tell me which to delete. Or how to tell which is the correct one. Thanks for your help though.

What is your OS, 2000 or 2003? You should be able to determine which to delete first based on your OS, next based on the three options in the original MS article.

I am using 2003. Below is part of the error description.

The zone ***.local was previously loaded from the directory partition MicrosoftDNS but another copy of the zone has been found in directory partition ForestDnsZones.***.local. The DNS Server will ignore this new copy of the zone. Please resolve this conflict as soon as possible.

If I am reading this right then the ForestDnsZone is what needs to be deleted, right? When I look at the two zone the MicrosoftDNSzone has two folders that say pending while the ForestDNSzone just has one that is not pending. I'd hate to delete the ForestDNSzone and have the whole thing come crashing down on me.
