Hi,

I have an internal application that I created a user friendly DNS CNAME record for. My problem is that the application runs on a specific port #9675 so users need to add the port number on the end of the URL. Is there a way to have a CNAME record point to a specific port or just another way to setup this up so users don’t need to add the port number on the URL?

Thanks….

if you are using linux, you could use iptables and add a filter to the prerouting table that rewrites incoming packets on an IP to a specific internal port number
