Hello.

Thanks for helping me...OK here we go!

I have a web server that my organization uses for member program registration, its internal IP is 192.168.1.3 and its name is nashonline.gnymca.org in the gnymca.org domain. On the outside the name of the server is reg.nmymca.org. From my PC on the internal network, I typed in reg.nmymca.org and received a DNS error. Our DNS server is our AD server as well, and it forwards requests to our ISP DNS servers without issue. I have no problems resolving any other name except reg.nmymca.org. What will I need to do to get reg.nmymca.org to resolve on our internal network? Thanks in advance! Geoff

You will need to setup a host (A) record for REG to point to the IP you want it to point to.

If you open the DNS console and goto the nmymca.org zone, right click and goto New Host(A), put reg in the top box then in the IP address 69.95.34.82.

reg.nmymca.org resolved to the IP 69.95.34.82 on a dns lookup.
