I am getting ready to attempt to host my own website on my home DSL connection.

I currently have a static IP but it costs me too much to host a family website on a static IP DSL. My question is:

Can i run a my own DNS server and My own webserver on a DSL line that gets a dynamic IP. This will save me 50 bucks a month if i can.

Thanks.

There are services that will update your DNS records if you use their nameservers and a client. and to name the only ones I have experience with. I host my domains at ZoneEdit, and have a few subdomains at DynDNS, and I have never had a problem with either one.

That is a cheap way of doing thanks alot i will look into that.

Hi I have a multi DHCP Servers with differents subnets. DHCP Servers are acting as DC too
The configuration to updat DNS is : Automatically update DHCP Client.

I think that when a first server registry client configuration on DNS, another dhcp server will not be able to do that. Is that right ? ?
What to do to be able to update DNS servers with more that on dhcp server acting as DC on a different subnets?

Any help please?

Thanks in advance
