It seemed easy enough. Client has an IP500V2 and wanted a DND button on their phone. Do you really need 2 buttons for this - ie an on and an off button? I know *08 and *09 are on and off repectively. The user only has one button left that is free. I hate telling them to use start codes, they all say "too much work.

DND On is a toggle button. Press it for on, press it again for Off. Just lable it DND.

When I assign DND On to a button (and upload) and then press it, the LED turns green. Then if I press it again, the LED stays green. *09 turns it off. I know this is a really amateur question but the button won't toggle on and off.

Hm...yeah it is a toggle button. Pressing it again should turn it off. When you press it, does anything appear on the screen?

I guess you could try a SendAllCalls button as thats a toggle..

When using the programmed button it shows N.

N means it in do not disturb. If you press it again, it should go away.

The DND works great using short codes. Not so good using buttons. Maybe they do not need a DND. Basically she wants a one button solution to send all calls, internal and external, to voicemail. It would be great if it could toggle on the same button.

It does! It is a toggle button! When you press it to turn it off, does anything show up on the screen?? Does the N go away???

OK the N does go away but the LED stays on. Very odd. I'll have to try again tomorrow. Is there a short code to forward unconditional to VM? Thanks for the immediate help, BTW.

Have had issues in he past when DND buttons were assigned using User Rights, assigning them individually or just copying the values from user rights seems to work :-)

I'll experiment with send all calls.

N means No Calls - but Im just being picky :-)

Ive never had issues with DND on phones as a DSS key - what software level is on the IPO?

This is 7(12).

I think he said that it turns green when activated, and stays green when deactivated. I cannot remember if its supposed to turn off or not on those phones. I loathe the 14xx series.

It should turn off.

Open monitor and then got to "filter" and then select "system" and check the option "development tracing"

Then go close it and go to "status" and select "DSS status"
Enter the extension with the DND button.
Then go to the button and double click it.
Meanwhile you should have another eye looking at monitor or system status and see if DND is turned on or off.

You also should see a 0 or a 1 when you change the button.

HSM, can you change the screen so that it has two lines of "buttons" on the bottom of the screen?

In the trials for 6.1 or 7.0 there was an issue where those 9621 and 41 did not show any status at all.
Changing it to those two lines of buttons worked for me.
