I am using CR8.5 developer to create and distribute reports to a set of users, each of whom has had the setup.exe run (and don't have a version of CR on their machines). I am curious if it is possible to somehow create the DSN for the applicable database(s) when I distribute new reports, just in case the user doesn't have the DSN configured yet.

You would need to write an application that installed the dirvers and configured the ODBC.

This may represent a security problem.
An application is one means, I'd check with the sys admins, they may have a push technology to install it for you.

1. Export the registry ODBC info into a reg file.
2. Import the reg file in the target PC.
