Dissapering routing tables on W2003 Server ?

HI,

I have a 2003 Server.
It has 5 NICs - one connected to the LAN via switch,4 connected to other 4 stations poit-to-point.
When I run some Perl script that acccesses all 4 stations - it will always have ~10 sec delay on acccess first time.
Second run of the same script will access these 4 stations very fast.
Looks like my Server has some timeout after which it looses it's routing tables ...
Is there any way to force it not to drop them off ?

This is in relation to a Mapped drives question, but it might be related to what you are experiencing? See if this Registry fix can help?

"This behavior occurs because Windows NT Server 4.0, Windows 2000 Server, and Windows Server 2003 can drop idle connections after a specified time-out period (by default, 15 minutes) to prevent wasting server resources on unused sessions. The connection can be re-established very quickly, if required."

HI,
Im still in trouble even after linney reply.
If after half an hour of been idle ,I run from my server command:
dir \\pps01\shared

it may take 1 minute to respond.
Then secon run will result with immediate response.
It's like 2003 forgets his routings tables and has to reestablish them again.
The server in in Domain, ppsx computers are connected to it directly via dedicated NICS.
