I have a report which is a licence and has a photograph.
In my database which is access I have the image stored as both a thread and as an ole object(image).
In order to show this image by adding a field to the report I must add the ole field to the report and this works fine.
MY QUESTION IS how can I store a link to the ole (image) instead thus reducing the memory necessary because the image itself will not be saved in the data base but a link to it.????...
thanks,
Róisín

I assume that you want to have Crystal read a path and print the file for each record. CR doesn't currently support this. Ken Hamady

I had the same problem, the solution occurred to me after reading another post from someone who got it to work with BMPs but could not with JPGs or GIFs.

Since I was storing image data only from JPG files (which are smaller), I tried storing binary data from BMPs instead and it worked. For confirmation, I tried storing some BMPs and some JPGs and Crystal Reports only displayed the BMPs.

I have only tested this using an ODBC connection to SQL Server 7 (it should work with other ODBC sources like MS Access Driver)
