Displaying a single field as columns in Subforms

I've got several reports that display data items in columns. The single field data is in a subreport and it produces a fine single page report with multiple columns stretching between header and footer.

Is there a way of doing the same with subforms?

I would like to display a single field from a table (up to as many as 300 items), as columns, with a delete button next to each so as to be able to delete individual records rather than having to scroll endlessly.

Am I going about this the wrong way? Can anyone think of a more 'elegant' solution to displaying so many items?

Any help gratefully received.
