The display on our main programming set disappeared this morning. The phone is still functional but we cannot see anything on the display screen. I tried disconnecting the power source hoping that it would reset. That did not work. Any suggestions?

What version IPO? these dont work on newer releases.

if you have a Legend/Magix then check the power supply under the desk, sometimes it gets dislodged by a kick to it. If you have really an IP Office then tell me how you made it work in the first place.

Laura38,

If Your 4424LD is also used to program system, you most likely have merlin magix system, not IP office. The power supply is only used for the large flourecent display.

Possibly you're on an ipoffice that was just upgraded.
I've had 4424LD on ipoffice 3.1(65), and 3.2(59), all functions worked, except the soft keys on display, and only the top two lines of display worked. When 4.0 came out the 4424LD would not work, it aslo caused system to reboot every 2-5 minutes. When 4.1(9) came out I tried the 4424LD again, it did not work at all. I haven't tried it since 4.1

If it wasn't due to an upgrade, and is compatible with your release, the power brick probably went out. That does happen with those phones- especially on the IP Office for some reaon. Probably why they stopped supporting them on later releases.

it is great on a Magix so you don't need to unpack the Laptop to make programming changes though.
On the IPO it has no valid reason to exist any more because you can't do shit from the phones :)

Westi,

Your right, 4424LD was great on Magix for programing, because winspm on a laptop was very slooooow. The MLX20L used for programing Merlin Legend was ok, but these phones suffered from frozen keys, had mine replaced several times. I was going to try a 4424LD on ipoffice 5.0 to see what happens, but I do not have one any more. Last Magix install I did was like in fall of 2005 anyway.

yeah the "good" old Magix is gone. I don't cry when a customer replaces a Legend or Magix (or Merlin s that are still out there working). I hate the convoluted 80's programming on these boxes and reading out data is PITA too. SO I guess the IPO is a better box even though not as stable as a Magix or Legend, but without features what can break on it :)
