Hi

I have a worksheet that is keeping track of companies and their associated monthly revenue by month.

The worksheet uses a sumif to collect the revenue.

The worksheet is laid out by company in ascending order (a-z)

However the A company is not the largest ytd revenue

Is there a way that I can have the graph display the revenue in descending order other than having to cut and paste the data as values and then sort by ytd revenue? eg have the graph display in descending order on the ytd revenue column?

Thanks,

I suggest you run a query on your spreadsheet. Check out the data menu, "get external data". Click the obvious options (excel workbooks, then search for your current workbook).
If Excel then says there are no visible tables in your spreadsheet, click options and check everything.

You can select the data based on whatever parameters you choose (such as not null) and then order it how you like (as though you were working in access).

To keep things neat I would insert the query result on a new page and then base your chart on this queried data. When the information changes, you need to update the query result: right click on it and select refresh the data. The chart should update automatically.

If you use a Pivot Table to do your sum then you can generate a Pivot Chart at the touch of a button and you can then choose to have the chart display in order of size.
