dismantling an option 81

are there any procedures or guidelines to go by when removing an option 81 hardware from its location and storing it?
 
Not really. You might want to remove the top module off of a 4 module column. It makes it a little easier to dolly around. I also recommend removing the power supplies and ringing generators and transport them in boxes. Other than that, pull her apart and move her.

ideally take all the cards & psu's out cos there bloody heavy suckers. but if you have enough space to move a single column fair play, but we always ended up splitting each column up to two shelfs & restacking them up to four in the back on the lorry.

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder
