Hi, I want to add an 80GB drive to my current netware server. It came out of an existing pc (NTFS or Win32) not sure which. How should I prep this disk so Netware can see it? Will Netware let me use the whole 80GB?

Thanks

You can just FDISK the old configuration away, then when you install the disk and NetWare can see it, you can create a NetWare partition on the (whole of) the disk and then create a new volume or add the diskspace to an existing volume.

Thanks a bunch, I am having problems trying to find a HAM dirver for a IBM deskstar 82 GB drive. Couldn't find anything at IBM or Novell. I'm sure I have to find this and get it to load at start up don't I?

Thanks again

Is this an IDE drive? It's just IDEATA.HAM and IDEHD.CDM that you need. They ship with NetWare.

You gotta remember, the HAM driver is what runs the controller, not the device.. The CDM is what runs the actual device.

Thanks Marv, it's been quite a while since i've done something like this. I'll just see what the server does when it sees the drive.
