Disconnects to a high traffic station

I have a station that gets high amounts of traffic at certain times. To get to this line, people call our main number and then enter the extension to transfer to this station so that they can leave a message. It is never answered- it is only used to receive voicemail. Lately some of the callers report that when they try to transfer to the station, they are disconnected.

Is there something that I can change to try to stop them from getting disconnected? My thought is that the station may be getting too many calls at once, but I really do not know for certain. We have plenty of lines into the overall system to handle the traffic, but I'm not sure if the station has access to all of the lines that the system has available to it.

As you may be able tell from this post, I have enough knowledge of our system to be dangerous. I work mostly in emulation and I am smart enough to not change something that I am totally unfamiliar with. I guess I am just looking for a place to start asking questions of our support partner. I may also try to make the change myself if it turns out to be something related to what I've done previously.

Thanks for any thoughts.

I think we need how it is programmed to better help you. Do a "disp sta" and post if it is a station with a port for one.
Display the coverage path and make sure it's a path just to your VM system. Should be something like h1.

See what type set this is programmed as also.

It sounds like an ex-ported station with all calls going to VM but we need to check the programming.

Also, which VM system are you using? We may need you to pull up hourly measurements on that to see if it is where the problems are.

When is the last time you helped someone, just because you were able to?

We are using Avaya Aura Communication Manager Voicemail.

The station type is virtual.
No port
Coverage Path is 1 which is set to cover to vm after 1 ring.

I would make a few test calls from my set to this extension while running a "list tra sta xxxx (being your station) and see if you can capture lost calls. This will show you whats going on with each call.
