Disconnected Edit

Hello,
I have a DTS that have a couple of steps that use a SQL Server connection. I need to be able to install the DTS on other servers but when I try to use the Disconnected Edit it keeps throwing error message complaining about the database not being found, login error, etc. Doesn't the Disconnected Edit bypass those checks so you can edit the connections without all the error messages?
