Ok, haven't seen this problem before, but since nobody's helped you, I suppose I better. Now, let me get this straight - when you reboot, it asks you to install the printer, because it's plug and play, right? well, cancel that window, and add it yourself in the printers dialog box. that should help. Make sure you note
ALL messages hat appear, as some messages are cleverly discuised as "This installation Failed" which often happens with windows.
Now, what I'm curious about is why did you install over the top of windows?? That will simply take up more space, and believe me, more people suffer problems from that - Windows was never capable of being flexable.
What I recommend before you continue doing the printer thing is a wipe and install. If all your irreplacable data and windows are on one drive, it might not be wise to format, however, you may wish to get to a command prompt and type
DELTREE C:\WINDOWS [/b} - make sure you remove everything from the desktop first.
