While working in Dreamweaver all page content disappears so I can't edit it--Sometimes if I click the scroll bar a few times, the content reappears--Sometimes it's editable; sometimes when I click on the page to edit, the content once again disappears--I have been using Dreamweaver for a few months on a few different computers and only experience this problem on one--it has plenty of hard drive space and 128 mgs of RAM--as do the other computers I've used--but it sounds like a memory issue to me--Any ideas? Thanks

And it happens especially when you f12?

Doesn/t matter if you have 128. There may be other software the loads when you boot up sucking up your memory. If you've got dreamweaver/fireworks/photoshop6 you need 256.

Memory is so cheap now so just go and get it I reckon.

Thanks for your response, Nippi--The weird thing is it previews fine in the browser--and sometimes when I go back to edit, the page is active in Dreamweaver--I have 128 on all the machines I've used--and for the most part, 128 has been sufficient--I may get more memory but because it has only become a problem--SO if F12 works--any ideas?

This is not really my area, but after experiencing problems with 128 megs of ram, on win98 and ME, I spat the dummy, upped the ram to 256 and bought windows 2000.

I've never crashed since, never had a screen freeze, nothing.

I think Macromedia makes great software... that doesn't free up memory properly in windows 98, especially dm4 and ud4. There are so many variables in a computer that do not include the ram and hard drive size. Two computers with identical ram and hard drive size will not perform anything like the same for who knows what reasons. A chip not cooled properly, one piece of software isntlaled improlry so as to cause a conflict... who knows.

Increase the memory. It costs $50 where I am(that's less than $25 US). You will recoup that in the first hour that your computer does not fall over.
